Haut Comme 3 pommes

Epilogue

The following dialogs could not be integrated because of the cut of the 3rd level.

Right after fighting the boss:
"Well done! That should hold him back for a while. It was intense but you managed to stay calm, we're alive thanks to you. I have to face the facts… You've become a man now. … "

After the fight against the spirit of the forest, Marc and his grandfather enter a vast room where a mysterious altar sits in its center surrounded by lotus flowers and offerings. In this (large) room Marc enlarges the hut and the grandfather comes out. The cabin will definitely stay here. He approaches the altar. Marc doesn't put down the artifact right away, he hesitates.
"You are still young… I understand your hesitation… It is a great power that this object carries with it, but don't forget one thing. The real power, the one that has brought you here, is not this artifact that gave it to you. It has always been in you, deep in your heart. This object is just a tool that has helped you to grow up, but now is the time to finish what we came for… And the choice is yours. "

Marc puts down the artifact, a slight tremor crosses the tower, black volutes escape from the windows allowing daylight to pass through and illuminating the room.
"It's the right decision ... Go straight ahead, there is a path leading to the roof of the tower, I have one last thing to show you."

The following dialogs were integrated into the game.

Marc goes to the roof, last monologue from Papi:
"This island… Its beach, its forest, its people… everything was so peaceful before I arrived… I came full of dreams, naive… The power made my men mad, greedy, I couldn't let them get their hands on the artifact…

*Cough*
I was alone, desperate, then found a young child, stranded on the beach… you. Nothing has been the same from this moment. You have become my reason for being, for surviving. I immediately loved you like my own son. So I took you in. Unable to bear the idea that all your life you will be confined into this island, I explored its every plots. And finally, I found a way to leave it.

*Cough*
However, before I let you go, I had to teach you one more thing. For an adventurer, the main thing is not to amass wealth and glory, but to understand that the importance of a quest is not the destination, but the journey. To live, to love, to brave dangers, to discover the secrets of this world, to overcome his own fears… this is the real reward of the adventurer: to grow up. That was the purpose of this last quest. And doing it with you was the best reward I could dream of ...
*Cough*
So I needed to know if the artifact would make your heart or your ego bigger. But by putting it down, you proved that you were worthy of using this power, worthy of fixing my mistake, worthy of going on your own adventures ...
*Cough*
Which brings us to the last point ... North of this tower, you will find a boat with a map showing you the way to follow. I taught you everything you need to know, you are perfectly capable of getting through ...
*Cough*
I will not… I will not be able to accompany you, this adventure is yours… it pains me to admit it, but I can't handle such a trip anymore hahahah!

*Cough*
And I don't have much time left… I… I thought I was ready to see you go... I understand now that I would never be… I wanted you to know before you left… The day I found you on this beach… Well… Anyway, what I mean is that despite all my adventures ... raising you was by far the most beautiful.

Now go, follow your path, be free… Without ever forgetting how proud I am of you.
Today the sun sets on the end of my journey, and it will rises on the dawn of the most extraordinary adventure… yours. "

End credit, then follow up with a nice artistic view, then display this:
"Diary of a young adventurer:
If you are reading this chapter, you have just started reading this journal. I'm still young, but the call to adventure is getting stronger and stronger. Unfortunately, the beginning of one story is often marked by the end of another, and mine begins with the end of my grandfather's. He passed on to me his thirst for adventure and his knowledge. And today, thanks to him, the sun rises on a new journey… My journey. "
