Mad Lab (UE Tournament)
A level where the environment becomes a weapon!
Unreal tournament: Deathmatch
2019 : Level blockout on BattleBlock Theater editor.
2-4 players, team game mode.

These levels redesign the codes of the game to offer a new experience through level design based on the original gameplay.
These levels were made during my Game Design studies (2nd year).
​
Goal:
These maps propose a competitive team sport game based on the original game elements and intentions.
​
Pitch:
Players play through 4 unique game modes based on a sport and a season of the year. The purpose is to create an annual sport championship mood that can be played with friends in a short time. Each mode has its unique characteristics and different game dynamics.

Design intentions:

Redisign the gameplay of the game to make unique levels renewing the experience.

Transmit a season of the year per game mode.

Design different funny game mode inspired by sports in order to create a party game mood.
Summer Soccer
Floating clouds feature:
The clouds can be crossed by its sides and bottom but hold the players on its top.

Intentions:
Create a 2D football-like experience.
​
Game's goal:
Get the ball and send it into the opposing goal.
Warning ! Any contact with the field's borders eliminates the player!
Winter Hockey
Ice and activator's features:
Ice blocks make the ball and the players slide on the ground.
The activators allow the players to activate a trap in front of the goal eliminating players in contact and blocking the ball.

Intentions:
Create an experience close to ice hockey with the ice blocks, convey a mood of brutality and create the effervescence of the public.
​
Game's Goals:
Unblock the opponent's goal to allow the teammate to score a goal while protecting the activator that defends its own goal.
The public reacts to the player's presence when they are close enough.
Spring Basketball
Wings and BouncingBlocks features:
Wings allow players to progress on the heights by setting the duration of their jump infinite.
Bouncing platforms allow players or objects to be thrown in a certain direction.

Intention:
Create an experience close to basketball by playing on the verticality and the strong feeling of dunk. ​

Goal of the game :
Use the wings to reach the baskets and score the ball or use the jumping platforms to reach the baskets and dunk the ball!
Autumn Rugby
NPC and teleportation's features:
Teleporters allow you to easily escape your pursuers and give verticality a huge advantage. On the contrary, the AI on the ground will come to counter the players who are there to simulate the melee and create danger in the shortest path.

Intentions:
Create an emphasis on navigation, try to dodge the players and cross the field as a true rugbyman. The limited size of the level allows to create a lot of points of conflict between the players.
​
Game's Goals:
Bring the ball into the goal or send it (by a drop) through the air so that it falls back into the goal zone.
