2020: Level blockout on UE Tournament Editor.

Work on design intentions and the creation of an identity for a new level in a game following its own codes.

Production of 4 days as part of the Master of Rubika.

Objective :

Create a level for the game Unreal Tournament following the codes of the original game while bringing a strong identity serving the competitive gameplay.

​

Pitch:

Players find themselves in the laboratory of a mad scientist where each of the rooms can lethal. By using the traps and specificities of each of them, players can hurt or kill their opponents. Being strategic here is just as important as having good reflexes!

Design intentions:

  • Create a level with unique arenas with a strong gameplay identity.

  • Encourage experimentation in the player by creating strong interactivity with the environment.

  • Make the environment a powerful weapon to be used strategically.

Reactor Room: Players can trigger a fatal explosion.

Cooling Room: Players can activate the cooling cuves creating a freezing fog slowing players down and causing slight damage.

Engine Room: Players can destroy the machines to create a local electrical explosion causing continuous damage.

Control Room: Players can teleport to each of the arenas

Experiment Room: Players can provoke an acid rain in the room.
